Past Futures | Original Artwork

‘Past Futures’ is devoted to the increasing melting of our polar ice caps, an effect that is mainly caused by the long-denied climate change. Nowadays, it has been scientifically proven and is known to the general public – and yet we collectively do very little to prevent the impending catastrophe. With every minute we lose one of the futures in which we would be better off than with the one that ultimately awaits us due to our wrong decisions. The painting is part of the ‘Rate Of Loss’ series, which deals with various man-made environmental disasters, both figuratively and thematically.
