This piece is part of the ‘Head In The Clouds‘ Series which is comprised out of 6 original artworks made with acrylics on canvas.
For these works, Ruebensal combined his colorful and expressive style with traditional painting techniques in order to play with the limits of figuration and abstraction. Adding clouds as a (sur-)realistic component, it feels like they are floating through a 3-dimensional space that seems real, yet magical and utopian.
